Your donations to Kawkawa Camp and Retreat are a true investment. Kawkawa receives on-line donations and issues an income tax receipt at the end of each calendar year. Your generous donations will help to fund these current projects and bursaries.
Bursaries:
Rita LiHaven Camper Bursary Fund
This fund has helped children and families who otherwise could not afford to go to camp to attend one of our weeks of summer camp.
Summer Staff Bursary Funds
This fund offers assistance to those desiring to work and minister at camp during the summer who might have to otherwise find a job in order to return to school.
Projects:
Outdoor Gym
This fund targets the long awaited Outdoor Gym that will offer Kawkawa a year round recreational option with a meeting place for 250+ people.
Dock Replacement
This fund targets the replacement of our old waterfront docks with a new larger dock that will greatly enhance our already spectacular waterfront. It will include a swimming area, boat moorage, ski/wakeboard instructional area, lifeguard towers, lighted walkways, resting benches, and two entry points off the beach.
Tractor Project
This fund targets the purchase of a tractor or bobcat style piece of equipment. It will be utilized year round for maintenance, landscaping, snow removal, and general work related projects.
New Main Lodge
As Kawkawa advances and grows from a seasonal Camp & Retreat Centre to a year round facility we are looking to construct a self contained conference centre. This building will take in the spectacular views of Kawkawa Lake and host accommodation for 150 beds, kitchen, dining room, conference and breakout rooms capable of serving 300 and our administration offices.
